HOW THE VIDEO CONSULTATION WORKS
1. Appointment
Make an appointment online for your video consultation in our online dermatology practice. You can also upload pictures of your skin condition in the section “Befunde”.
2. Receive confirmation
You will receive a confirmation of your appointment by e-mail. This contains an access code and a link to register for the video consultation. Important! If this is your first video consultation with us, you will also receive an e-mail with a declaration of consent and further information documents about the video consultation. Please complete and sign these in advance and send them to us by post.
3. Preparation for the video consultation
Please note the following before starting the video consultation: Register online with the access code 5 minutes before the agreed appointment. Check your internet connection and whether your microphone, loudspeaker and camera are working. For patients with statutory health insurance: Have your valid electronic health card ready to authenticate yourself.
4. Conduct consultation
In most cases, the investigation can be completed digitally. Important! There may also be some delays during an online consultation. Please have understanding for this.
5. Finishing the consultation hour
Should an additional examination still be necessary, please make a personal appointment at your dermatological practice.

FAQ
For patients with statutory health insurance in Germany, the cost carrier is the statutory health insurance company. For German private patients, the video consultation hour is invoiced according to GOÄ.
We use the certified video service provider Viomedi for the video consultation. The appointment booking is carried out by the external provider TerMed. Please send us the declaration of consent necessary for the consultation hour by post to ensure the security of your data. You can find more information under data protection.
We need your name and e-mail address to make an appointment. However, registration is not necessary.
To attend the video consultation, you need a PC, laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection. Webcam, microphone and loudspeaker must be functional. Viomedi supports the web browsers Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
We use TerMed for making an appointment. You can easily make an appointment online here. You can also upload pictures of your skin disease under “Befunde”. These will be available to our competent dermatologists in advance.
After you have successfully made an appointment, you will receive an e-mail with an access code and a link to register. Log in to Viomedi at the agreed time with the access code. Have your electronic health card ready for authentication. Also make sure that all technical requirements are met.
If a treatment cannot be completed via the video consultation, please make a personal appointment with your dermatologist.
Our doctors are based in Germany. Appointments are made in the time zone UTC +1.
If the video connection is interrupted, we reserve the right to contact you by telephone. In order to be able to advise you successfully, we ask you to send us pictures of your skin disease when you make an appointment, so that our doctors can get an idea of your condition in advance.
